Sindhi Biryani Simple Step By Step Recipe

Ingredients for Sindhi Biryani:

  • 3 Medium Size Onions
  • 1-1 1/2 KG Mutton
  • 4 Teaspoons Red Chili Powder
  • 1/2 KG Potatoes
  • 2 Teaspoons Garlic Paste
  • 2 Tablespoons Mint Leaves
  • 1 1/2 Cups Oil
  • 2 Teaspoons Ginger
  • 1/2 KG Tomatoes
  • 10-15 Prunes
  • 2 Teaspoons Salt
  • 10 Pieces of Black Pepper
  • 2 Teaspoons Cumin Seeds
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 8 Green Cardamoms
  • 10 Cloves
  • 4 Black Cardamom Pods
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 5 Cups Basmati Rice
  • 250 Grams Yogurt
  • 2 Pinches Orange Food Coloring
  • 1 Tablespoon Mint Leaf
  • 3 Bay Leaves
  • 6 Green Chilies
  • 3 Teaspoons Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Coriander Leaves
  • 2 Black Cardamom Pods
  • 3 Cinnamon Sticks

How to Cook Sindhi Biryani?

Meat Curry:

  • Take 3 Medium Size Onions and slice them then add in a Pan and fry. Dish out 1/4 of it after their color turns light brown.
  • Now add 4 Teaspoons of Red Chili Powder with 10 Cloves, 2 Teaspoons of Garlic Paste, 2 Teaspoons Ginger, 2 Bay Leaves, 4 Cardamom Pods and 2 Teaspoon Salt in the remaining Onions.
  • After that, add 10-15 Prunes with 1/2 KG Chopped Tomatoes in the Onions and fry all the ingredients together till Tomatoes become tender and the water evaporate.
  • Now 250 grams of Yogurt with 1/2 Kg Meat. You can also add some water if needed and cook at medium heat till Meat become tender and the water dry.
  • Take 1/2 Kg Potatoes and cut them in large chunks then boil them till they’re half cooked.
  • After that, add these Potatoes with 2 Tablespoons Coriander Leaves, 6 Green Chilies, 1 Tablespoon Mint in the Meat.
  • Simmer for only 2-3 minutes and your Meat Curry is ready.

Rice:

  • Take 1/2 Kg Rice and soak them in water for about half an hour then boil them with 3 Bay Leaves, 3 Teaspoons Salt, 2 Black Cardamom Pods and 3 Cinnamon Sticks.
  • Once the Rice is Half Done drain all the water and Layer the Meat Curry with Rice in a Pot in One on One Layers.
  • Now Sprinkle your 1/4 Fried Onions, 1 Chopped Mint Leave and 2 Pinches of Orange Food Color on the top of the last layer.
  • Finally, mix your Rice gently before serving. Your Sindhi Biryani is ready.
