Time required: 35 minutes approx
Ingredients for Instant Nan Khatai:
- ghee 1 cup
- icing sugar 1 cup
- baking powder 2 teaspoons
- all purpose flour 1 cup
- gram flour ¼ cup
- almonds roasted
- cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
- almonds roasted 8-10
- semolina 2 tablespoons
- egg yolk whisked as required
How to prepare Instant Nan Khatai:
Take a bowl then add 1 cup of icing sugar with 1 cup of ghee. Then whisk it well until it becomes fluffy with the help of a beater.
Now put it aside and take another bowl, place a sifter over the bowl then add 1 cup of all purpose flour in it.
After that, add ¼ cup of gram flour with 2 teaspoons of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of semolina then mix them altogather.
Add 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder then mix it with the help of a beater and add ghee sugar mixture you prepared earlier.
It’s time for you to mix it and knead it well until becomes soft dough. Add 8-10 roasted almonds and mix well.
Now cover the lid and refrigerate for about 15 minutes. Use this mixture and make 10-12 small balls from it.
Place a butter paper on the baking plate then put your small balls on it. Coat all these balls with whisked egg yolk by using a brush.
After that, place your roasted almonds on the top of your small balls. Take a pot then add 1 pack of salt in it.
Now place a wire rack then cover the lid and preheat for about 15 minutes on high flame. Place your baking plate and cover the lid one more time.
Finally, Bake at low flame for about 15-20 minutes. Your Instant Nan Khatai is ready to go.
