Ingredients for Daal Samosa:
- 1 cups of moong daal
- 4-5 garlic cloves
- ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
- 2-3 tablespoons of corn oil
- red chilli powder to taste
- 2 chopped medium size onions
- chaat masala 1 & ½ teaspoon
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 & ½ teaspoon crushed coriander seeds
- turmeric powder ½ teaspoon
- 1 teaspoon amchoor powder
- garam masala powder ½ teaspoon
- 2-3 chopped green chilies
- green coriander ½ cup
- ½ cup mint leaves
How to prepare Daal Samosa:
Let’s start this recipe by taking a pan and place it on the stove then add 1 cup of moong daal in the pan. Make sure that you soak this daal in water for 2 hours before using it.
Now add 4-5 cloves of garlic then add water as much as you need and let it boil. Cover the lid and cook for 5-6 minutes at low flame.
After that, Once it become tender remove from the stove and put it aside. Add 2-3 tablespoons of corn oil in the pan, ½ teaspoon cumin seeds and 2 chopped medium size onions.
Sauté it and add red chili powder according to your own taste then add 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 & ½ teaspoon of chaat masala, 1 & ½ teaspoon coriander seeds and ½ teaspoon turmeric powder.
Add amchoor powder 1 teaspoon, garam masala powder ½ teaspoon and mix well for 2 minutes then add 2-3 chopped green chilies.
Mix well for 2-3 minutes then add your boiled daal. After, Meshing it coarsely add ½ cup of mint leaves, ½ cup chopped green coriander.
Take a samosa pati add your filling in it then turn it into a samosa shape. Heat the cooking oil in the pan that is enough for deep frying process and deep fry the samosa’s in it.
