Time required for Dark Chocolate Barfi:
40 minutes approx.
- 3/4th cup cocoa powder
- khowa ½ Kg
- condensed milk 3/4th cup
- ½ cup clarified butter
- 3/4th cup sugar
- 50 grams almonds (1/3 cup) cashews 50 grams (1/2 cup)
Start by roughly crushing almonds and cashews. Add ½ cup of clarified butter in a pan, ½ khowa and stir fry it till the clarified butter separates.
Now add 3/4 cup of sugar then mix well and add ¾ cup of condensed milk and ¾ cup of cocoa powder. We are using ¾ cup of cocoa powder because to make chocolate barfi a good amount of cocoa is used. But you add cocoa according to your taste.
Okay let’s add roughly crushed almonds and cashews. Stir fry it till this mixture gets firm and stars leaving the pan.
Now take a setting tray and arrange the butter paper in it then spread only ¾ of the mixture. Dip the top of your spoon in clarified butter and set top layer of the mixture with it.
After that, put it in the refrigerator. When your mixture is set remove the butter paper very carefully. Finally cut it into your desired shapes.
Here we go your Dark Chocolate Barfi is ready.
