Time required for Badam Ki Kheer:
3 hours and 15 minutes approx.
- 100 grams almonds
- 2 tablespoon rice
- 1 litre + 1/4th cup + 1/2 cup full fat milk
- Khowa 100 grams
- 200 grams sugar
- cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
Way to prepare Badam Ki Kheer:
Soak almonds overnight before you start your kheer boil the almonds. It will help you peeling the almonds. Grind the almonds in fine paste.
Now add 2 tablespoon rice in a pan then roast and grind them in the powder. Boil 1 liter full fat milk and keep on stirring while boiling.
Add ¼ cup of cold milk in rice powder then add it into the pan. Make sure that you stir continuously while adding it. It will prevent the lumps.
After that, add almond paste, add ½ cup of milk in 100 grams khowa. Mix it well until no lumps are left. Now add this to the pan.
Okay now add 1 cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder. Cook for about 5 minutes until raw smell of sugar disappears completely.
Now let the kheer cool down. The kheer will become thick after cooling down. You can also put it in refrigerator for few hours.
Finally garnish it with sliced almonds, pistachios and cashews.
Your Badam Ki Kheer is ready to go.
